CoolSculpting® is a nonsurgical fat reducing treatment that can be an ideal choice for men and women struggling with stubborn bulges or rolls. What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting uses a process called cryolipolysis, or fat freezing, to minimize stubborn pockets of subcutaneous fat. With targeted cooling technology, CoolSculpting can freeze and destroy fat cells to create a smoother, sleeker figure.*

Your CoolSculpting Consultation

Before your CoolSculpting procedure, you’ll have a one-on-one consultation with one of our Aesthetic Nurses. During your consultation, you can discuss your cosmetic goals and learn more about what you can expect from CoolSculpting treatments. Some of the most common areas for CoolSculpting include the love handles, abdomen, back, thighs and buttocks. However, CoolSculpting can be applied almost anywhere on the body, so if there’s another area you’d like to have treated, feel free to ask your Aesthetic Nurse.

Depending on your unique goals and needs, your Aesthetic Nurse may have additional or alternate recommendations for you. If you’re looking to treat a double chin, we also offer KYBELLA®, an injectable double chin treatment. At our Studio City location, we offer the YOLO® Curve lipo laser, another nonsurgical body contouring option that uses laser energy rather than heat to destroy fat cells. Your Aesthetic Nurse can help you decide on the best option for you.*

Your CoolSculpting Procedure

During your CoolSculpting appointment, your Aesthetic Nurse will apply the CoolSculpting applicator directly to the treatment area. The applicator will apply controlled cooling to the fat underlying your skin and tissue. You can expect to feel some initial coolness, but the area usually numbs quickly. While you may find the procedure mildly uncomfortable, most people don’t consider it painful, and there is no need for anesthesia. Depending on the size and location of your treatment area, the procedure can last anywhere from 35 minutes to 1 hour, during which you can read, watch Netflix or simply relax.*

Your Recovery & Results

CoolSculpting doesn’t require any downtime and you can return to your normal routine as soon as you leave our office. However, the treated area may feel sore for the following several days. Some people develop mild temporary bruising or swelling, which should fade within 5 to 10 days. Refrain from strenuous exercise for the first few days after your treatment.*

Your results should develop gradually over the following 6 weeks. You may notice the treated area becoming slimmer as your fat cells dissolve. Most people get a series of anywhere from 2 to 6 CoolSculpting treatments, spaced about 1 month apart. Each subsequent treatment will build upon the results of the last.*
